Back in Action at Perth with Two Runners Today

After a busy few days, we’re back on the track today with two runners heading to Perth.

2:20 – Georgie’s Malt

Jockey: Conor O’Farrell

Georgie’s Malt makes her debut over hurdles this afternoon. It’s very much a first day at school type of experience for her, and today is all about learning and building confidence.

She’s been well looked after and schooled at home by Hayley, who deserves a big mention for the work she’s put in. Georgie’s been pleasing us in her preparations, and today she takes the next step on the track.

Conor will aim to get her into a nice rhythm, giving her a clear view of her hurdles to help her gain confidence. A top-half finish would be a positive outcome on debut, and anything better – like staying on for 4th or higher – would be a real bonus. Most importantly, we want her to come away from today with a solid first experience under her belt.

4:55 – Luminaries (pictured below)

Jockey: Sean Quinlan

Our second runner of the day, Luminaries, goes over a trip that suits him well, although this will be his first run at Perth.

He comes into the race in great form, having won 4 of his last 5 starts. The team at home, especially Craig who looks after him daily, is happy with how he’s been going. As long as the rain holds off and conditions remain in his favour, we’re hopeful he can continue his progression. There are a couple of decent horses in the line-up, but Luminaries should give a good account of himself.
