Catterick Preview – Ebony Maw (3:15)

We send out just the one runner today, with Ebony Maw taking his place in the 3:15 at Catterick, partnered by Jason Hart.

He’s a horse who has shown plenty of ability in the past but has just struggled to hit top gear in his recent runs. After his last outing, we’ve taken a step back and tried a few different things at home to freshen him up — small changes in his routine and a bit of variety in his work seem to have done him some good. He’s been moving well in his gallops and looks to be in better spirits heading into today’s race.

Jason knows him very well, which is always a big plus, and the ground conditions should be fine for him. Catterick is a track he’s comfortable around — he won this very race a couple of years ago — so there are reasons to be optimistic that he can put in a much-improved performance.

We’re hoping to see him bounce back to form and would be very happy if he could get himself into the placings.

Best of luck to all involved and safe travels to connections.
