One Runner Today - Stand Strong

This evening we have just the one runner, as Stand Strong takes his place in the 6:00 at Newcastle with PJ McDonald back in the saddle.

He’s already shown he likes it around here, having picked up a course-and-distance victory not too long ago. His most recent run came on a track that may have been a little too stiff for him, but he’s been in good order at home since and has been pleasing those who see him day in, day out on the gallops.

PJ knows him well, which is always a positive, and while there are a few others in the race who look to have solid chances, we head into this evening confident that Stand Strong can put in a bold effort if he runs up to the level we know he’s capable of. With a bit of luck, we’d love to see him repeat that Newcastle performance from last month.
