Royal Blaze & Ramon Di Loria Represent the Yard at Gosforth Park

We head to Newcastle this evening with two runners, both looking to make their mark on the all-weather.

5.30 – Royal Blaze (David Nolan)

Royal Blaze has been around Newcastle before, so we know the surface shouldn’t hold any concerns. After his most recent run, he was scoped by the vet, who suggested a tongue tie could help him find that little bit extra. He’ll be wearing it for the first time tonight, and we’re hopeful it brings the desired effect. The race is a competitive one, but if he handles things as expected, we’re optimistic he can be right in the mix.

8.00 – Ramon Di Loria (Rowan Scott)

Ramon Di Loria is no stranger to Newcastle either, having struck here before over this very course and distance. Recently, he’s been kept to 6 furlongs, but stepping back up tonight should play more to his strengths. He’s at his best when they go a good, honest gallop, allowing him to settle early and come with his trademark late run. If the race sets up to suit, we’d like to think he’ll be finishing off strongly and in with every chance.

Best of luck to all connections, and as always, we’ll have updates across our social channels and on the website throughout the evening.
