Today’s Action: Team Player Represents the Team at Chester

Team Player – 3:05 Chester (Greg Fairley)

We head to Chester today with Team Player, representing Ewan Whillans Racing, and it’s always a positive to have a runner at such a unique and competitive track.

The draw hasn’t been particularly kind, which is often a crucial factor around Chester given its tight, turning nature. That said, Team Player has been pleasing at home in recent weeks, showing the right signs in his work and giving the team encouragement ahead of this run.

Tactically, the plan is likely to be patient. He should be settled in early, tucked away and conserving energy, with the aim of delivering a late challenge. Of course, that style of run will require a bit of luck in running—something that’s never guaranteed around here—but if gaps appear at the right time, he’s capable of putting his best foot forward.

It’s great to have a runner on the card, and with things falling into place, we’re hopeful of a solid showing.

Best of luck to all connections.
