Captain Cognac Heads to Market Rasen – One Runner Today

We head into Friday with just one runner on the card, as Captain Cognac lines up in the 5:45 at Market Rasen for trainer Ewan Whillans, with Craig Nichol taking the ride.

Captain Cognac has been a bit of a project – headstrong and not the easiest to manage, he’s taken time to come to hand. Much of his preparation has focused on getting him settled, into a routine, and heading in the right direction. While he’s always looked the part and is well-bred, the aim today is to see a bit of promise, with improvement expected as he continues to develop.

We’re not expecting fireworks just yet – today’s race is about experience and progress. He’ll have a little break after this run and is one we’ll look forward to seeing more from in the autumn.
