A Night to Remember at Newcastle
What a memorable evening for the team at Newcastle, as we sent out two runners – Royal Blaze in the 5.30 and Ramon Di Loria in the 8.00 – and came away with not one, but two very special victories.
Royal Blaze was up first. Held up towards the rear, David showed real patience before asking the question two furlongs from home. Finding a perfect gap, he quickened smartly, hitting the front with authority and going on to win impressively by a length and a quarter. A superb performance and a horse who looks to be progressing nicely.
Then it was over to Ramon Di Loria, running in the racing club colours. Breaking well, he was kept up to his task throughout by Rowan as challengers came from all sides. Just when it looked like he might be beaten, he found a second wind and battled back bravely to get his head in front right on the line. A thrilling finish and a hugely deserved success for his connections.
We’ve had to be patient for our first racing club winner, but to get it on such a memorable night made it all the more worthwhile.
A massive well done to everyone involved, and thank you all for your continued support – it means the world to the whole team.
