All Eyes on Ramon Di Loria at Newcastle

Ramon Di Loria heads back to Newcastle this afternoon for the Ewan Whillans Racing Club, and there’s plenty of quiet confidence around his chances. He’s a horse who consistently shows plenty of ability at home, and his recent work has been very encouraging. Everything suggests he’s in great order coming into today’s contest.

This race looks to set up well for him if it’s run at a decent, honest pace, which would allow Ramon to settle early and use his strong finishing kick late on. He’s at his best when he can come through horses in the closing stages, and Newcastle’s long straight should really play to those strengths.

We’re very much eyeing a place today, which would keep us firmly in the hunt for the All-Weather Bonus, but if things fall right and the race unfolds to suit, he’s more than capable of going very close.

With Rowan Scott taking the ride, Ramon Di Loria has a solid chance of putting in a big performance for the club this afternoon. Fingers crossed for a good run and a strong finish up the straight.
