Cracker Star Heads to Redcar

Our only runner today is Cracker Star, who lines up in the 3.20 at Redcar with Rowan Scott taking the ride. Trained by Ewan Whillans, this promising type is still very much learning his trade and continues to develop with each run.

He needed his last outing and will come on for it. While we expect him to be better suited to further in time, there haven’t been many suitable opportunities over longer trips, so today’s contest provides a good stepping stone. He’ll likely be ridden handily, with a view to passing a few late on and finishing off his race strongly.

It’s very much a fact-finding mission for the team. It’s a nice race for him to gain experience in, and we’re looking forward to Rowan’s feedback to help shape his next steps. A placed effort today—or better—would be a bonus, but it’s all about learning and moving forward.
