Ewan Whillans Racing – Runner Update | Monday at Ayr

We head to Ayr today with two runners:

4.05 – Sure and Stedfast (pictured below)

A course and distance winner who should enjoy similar ground conditions to his last outing. He’s got a nice racing weight and we’d like to think he has a solid each-way chance. That said, today’s race does look stronger on paper, with several rivals having been running in better company. He’ll need to step forward again, but we still feel he’s progressive and ticks plenty of boxes. With suitable opportunities hard to come by lately, he takes his chance in what looks a competitive heat.

4.40 – Back Tomorrow

Things didn’t go her way last time out – stuck wide, against a headwind, and on ground that didn’t suit. That run can be forgiven. She hasn’t really taken to Hamilton, so a return to Ayr could bring better fortunes. It’s a small field with one or two leading dangers, but she’s been showing up well at home. Hopefully she can translate that onto the track and run a big race.
