Ewan Whillans Racing Returns with Four Runners Today

We’re back in action today with four runners heading to Redcar and Ayr. Here’s a look at how they’re shaping up:

Back Tomorrow – 4.22 Redcar

  • Jockey: PJ McDonald

Back Tomorrow is up first and looks to have found a good opportunity. The ground will suit, and although she was a little slow last time out at Ayr, she’s run well over both 5f and 6f. She’s in good form at home and, while she can be a touch slow away, hopefully she won’t lose too much ground early on. We’re hopeful she can go close today.

Billy Bathgate – 5.00 Redcar (pictured below)

  • Jockey: PJ McDonald

Billy Bathgate is in a similar position to his stablemate in that the track didn’t suit him last time, but that run blew away the cobwebs. He’s come out of it really well — I rode him out this week, and he felt great. A course-and-distance winner, he lines up against a few unexposed types, but we’re optimistic he can run a big race.

Sure and Stedfast – 6.42 Ayr

  • Jockey: Aiden Brookes

Sure and Stedfast contested a hot race last time out but ran well. He’s come out of that effort in good shape and takes his chance again today. We’re expecting another solid performance from him.

Royal Blaze – 8.42 Ayr

  • Jockey: David Nolan

Things didn’t quite work out for Royal Blaze last time. We dropped him back in trip thinking it might suit, but that wasn’t the case. Today, he drops in class and steps back up in trip — a combination that should give him every chance to get back to form.

Good luck to all owners and connections today!
