Stand Strong Storms to Victory at Newcastle

Stand Strong produced a taking performance at Newcastle, landing a decisive win by two and a quarter lengths under a confident and well-timed ride from Aidan Brookes.

Settled towards the rear early on, he travelled nicely into the race but briefly found his path blocked approaching the two-furlong pole. Once switched left, he quickened smartly, hit the front inside the final furlong, and stayed on strongly to win going away.

It was a classy effort and a testament to Aidan’s patience and composure in the saddle. Stand Strong looks to be going the right way and there’s every reason to believe he can go in again soon.

The team won’t have to wait long for another opportunity, with Billy Bathgate set to run shortly—and we’ll be hoping he can follow in similar fashion and keep the momentum going.

A big thank you and congratulations go to the winning owners: A. Whillans, W. Orr, C. Spark, and J. Wright. A great result for a great group of supporters.
