Lizzie Luna Takes Her Chance at Carlisle

Today we head to Carlisle for the 4:35, where Lizzie Luna lines up with Craig Nichol in the saddle.

This likeable little filly may not look an obvious stayer on paper, but her recent runs have suggested she’s beginning to appreciate more of a stamina test. She has been finishing her races with increasing purpose, shaping as though a slightly longer trip could bring out further improvement. If she settles well and finds a smooth rhythm, she has the attitude to keep responding when the race begins to unfold.

It’s a competitive contest, but Lizzie Luna is capable of stepping forward when conditions suit. With Craig Nichol aboard — a rider well known for getting the best from his mounts — there is every chance she can be delivered to challenge at the right time.

She will need things to fall into place, but on her day she has the ability to make her presence felt and give connections plenty to be encouraged about.

Best of luck to all connections — here’s hoping she runs a big race.
