One Runner on the Card: Ramon Di Loria at Southwell

We return to action today with just the one runner, Ramon Di Loria, who lines up in the 1.30 at Southwell, with Barry McHugh taking the ride.

Ramon has been showing plenty of encouragement at home in recent weeks and comes into this contest in good form. He has previous experience of Southwell, having run here before, although that came over a shorter trip. Today’s step up in distance should suit, provided the race is run at a solid pace.

This is a decent enough contest on paper, with a few runners who could easily improve or spring a surprise, so it won’t be straightforward. That said, if they do go a good gallop up front, it should play to Ramon’s strengths and allow him to settle into a rhythm before being delivered late.

Hopefully Barry can have him well positioned turning in, and if things fall right, we’d like to see Ramon Di Loria right there in the closing stages.

Good luck to all connections. 🏇
