Ramon Di Loria Bids to End Winter Campaign on a High

Ramon Di Loria returns to action today for what will be his final outing in this season’s All-Weather Bonus leaderboard, bringing to a close a hugely consistent and admirable winter campaign.

Currently sitting on 176 points and ranked 28th overall, his position is made even more impressive by the fact he only managed two runs in December. Since then, he has been a model of consistency, regularly running to a high level and even going close to securing the top spot in the February standings.

A real favourite in the yard, Ramon owes connections nothing, but he heads to Southwell with another solid chance. While he is yet to get his head in front at the track, he showed his suitability for the surface last time when finishing a close second to Yorkshire Glory, a run that puts him firmly in contention again here.

The key to him will be a strong early pace to aim at, allowing him to settle and use his finishing kick to best effect. From a good draw, Greg should be able to position him well before looking to deliver a late challenge in the straight.

A top-three finish would be a fitting way to round off his All-Weather campaign, but with conditions to suit and things falling his way, a win is certainly well within reach.
