Scots Poet Aiming to Build on Consistency at Carlisle

We head to Carlisle today with Scots Poet, who continues to hold his form well and arrives in a consistent run of performances.

He’s been shaping nicely in recent starts, regularly finishing third and showing a good level of reliability in competitive company. While he hasn’t quite managed to get his head in front, those efforts highlight that he’s firmly in the mix and capable of putting in another solid performance. The introduction of blinkers has made a clear difference, helping him travel and focus better throughout his races.

Conditions today look more favourable than they have been on his last few outings, with the ground expected to suit him much better. Carlisle is also a track that should play to his strengths, and he’s been pleasing in his work at home, suggesting he remains in good order.

As always, it’s a competitive field, but he lines up with a genuine chance. With a bit of luck in running, we’d be hopeful of seeing him involved when it matters and putting in another strong effort.
