Royal Blaze Heads to Catterick Today
We head to Catterick this afternoon with Royal Blaze, who lines up in the 3.30pm under familiar hands – local rider Archie Young takes the reins once again.
Royal Blaze came out of his last run in good order and has been training well at home. Today, we’ve opted to fit a hood for the first time, which we hope will help him settle and focus a bit more during the race. He’s a horse we’ve always felt has ability, but he’s just needed to learn how to put it all together on the track.
It looks a competitive little contest, but we’re hopeful the headgear can unlock some improvement, and it’s great to have Archie back onboard – he knows the horse well and gets a good tune out of him.
Fingers crossed for a step forward today and a positive run to build on.
