Team Player Takes on Tough Opposition

Today we send Team Player to the track for Ewan Whillans Racing, with Greg Fairley once again taking the ride. It’s a fiercely competitive contest, with plenty of in-form runners lining up, but we’re pleased with how our horse comes into the race.

Team Player arrives here on the back of a strong victory last time out, where he showed a great attitude and saw things out well. That performance appears to have boosted his confidence, and he has continued to impress in his work at home since. Everything suggests he has come forward again, both physically and mentally.

This will be a tougher test, and he’ll need to step up once more against stronger opposition. However, he’s a horse who is progressing nicely, and if he can settle into a good rhythm early on, there’s every chance he can be competitive.

We’re hopeful he’ll handle conditions and run his race from start to finish. If he can build on his latest effort and finish as strongly as he did last time, he should give a very good account of himself. In what looks an open and competitive field, we’d be delighted with an each-way performance, with the hope that he can once again be thereabouts at the finish.
