Three Runners Out Today – Aintree & Wolverhampton
We’re back in action today with three runners heading to the track, starting with a trip to the iconic Aintree before two evening runners at Wolverhampton.
3.15 Aintree – Crack Rhapsody
Jockey: Craig Nichol
Crack Rhapsody arrives here in good form and steps up in trip today. He’s come on again since his Cheltenham run, though he may still just need this outing. The plan will be to ride him quietly, let him settle, and ensure he sees the trip out well. If he can nick a 3rd or 4th we’d be very happy—anything more would be a bonus. Today is another building block with Kelso very much the main target.
7.00 Wolverhampton – Billy Bathgate
Jockey: Rowan Scott
Billy Bathgate is as consistent as they come and continues to please at home. He ran a cracking race last week and goes back here in good order. He’ll appreciate a strong gallop and we may look to ride him a bit more forward this time. Another honest run is expected from this reliable type.
8.30 Wolverhampton – Back Tomorrow
Jockey: Greg Fairley
Back Tomorrow heads out with the Monty Roberts rug today to help with her stalls behaviour, which has been her main stumbling block in recent starts. She’s shown plenty of promise at home, and if she can jump on terms and get into a rhythm early, she should have a live chance of finishing in the places—or better.
Best of luck to all connections today.
A day out at Aintree is always something special and we’re looking forward to a great day’s racing.
