Zephlyn Returns to Action at Newcastle Today

We head to Newcastle today with our only runner, Zephlyn, who takes his place in the 3.12pm under experienced jockey P.J. McDonald. It’s great to have him back at the races after a short spell on the sidelines due to a minor setback. He’s been working well at home, but as always after a break, fitness is something that can only fully return through racing.

Today’s trip is likely to be on the sharp side for him, so we’re treating this run as an important stepping stone rather than a test of his true ability. The main goal is to give him a confidence-building outing, let him blow away the cobwebs, and ensure he comes back safe and sound.

Zephlyn has already been a real highlight for the yard this year with three victories, and he owes us absolutely nothing. His honesty and consistency have been a joy, and getting him back on track for the rest of the season is the key focus.
