Three Runners Today for Ewan Whillans Racing
We head into a busy day with three runners across two meetings – Newcastle and Ayr – Here’s a look at their chances:
4.20 Newcastle – Stand Strong (PJ McDonald)
Stand Strong has been in good form recently, only finding one too good on his latest start. He’s been training well at home and returns to Newcastle – a track he knows and enjoys, having already scored over course and distance back in August. With PJ McDonald back on board, who knows him well, we’re hopeful he can be right in the mix again in what looks a competitive contest.
5.05 Ayr – Millbuie (Rowan Scott)
Millbuie has been finding it a little tricky to get his head in front of late, though his fourth last time out was better than it might appear on paper. He was slowly away that day and had to make up a lot of ground, which isn’t his usual style of running. He’s been in good order at home, and while we’re more hopeful than confident, a place would be a pleasing result.
8.30 Newcastle – Showmethewayhome (Morgan Cole)
Our final runner of the day is Showmethewayhome, who lines up in the evening at Newcastle under promising young apprentice Morgan Cole. She’s back at a track where she has performed well before, and we’ll be hoping she can follow in the footsteps of Ramon Di Loria by getting her head in front in the Racing Club silks. Once again, we’re hopeful of a step forward and a bold run.
