12.19 Kelso – James King

Blakey Boy should have a solid chance here. He did plenty right last time out and the booking of James King looks a positive. He’s gained valuable experience at Newcastle, and today’s ground and trip should suit him well. Everything looks in place for him to be bang there if things fall right.

Nellie Bluesky

2.39 Kelso – Sean Quinlan

This run is very much about fitness and getting back on track. She’s likely to come on for the outing, so we’re not expecting fireworks today, but it’s an important step forward and hopefully sets her up nicely for her next start.

Billy Bathgate

3.10 Newcastle – Rowan Scott

Billy Bathgate will be ridden to run well and continues to pick up valuable points on the leaderboard. We had the choice between Wolves and Newcastle, and he seems to enjoy Newcastle that bit more, so that’s where we’ve come. If all goes to plan, he should be competitive and has every chance of placing.

Royal Blaze

3.10 Newcastle – David Nolan

If Royal Blaze can build on his last run, he should be right in the mix. He can be a little inconsistent, so it does depend on which version of him turns up on the day. If he puts his best foot forward, he should be there or thereabouts.
