Today’s Runners at Hamilton

We send out two this evening at Hamilton.

5.45 – Ebony Maw (Jason Hart)

Ebony Maw is in good order at home, and the rain getting into the ground should suit him well. Ideally, we would have gone to Ayr, but with nothing suitable there for a few weeks, Hamilton is the right option. He’s a horse who always runs his race. While he’s yet to get his head in front at this track, he’s put in some solid efforts here before, so that doesn’t put us off. If he can jump, get into a rhythm, and dominate from the front, it will only boost his chances. An each-way run would be the minimum expectation.

7.45 – Royal Blaze (David Nolan)

Royal Blaze has passed his stalls tests and has done plenty of work at home, so we’re hopeful he won’t get upset in the gates this time. The ground and trip are a bit of an unknown, but his homework suggests he should handle both fine. He takes his chance, and we’d like to see him finishing off strongly and getting involved in the places at the very least.

Good luck to all connections. We hit the bar the other night with one winner from two runners – hopefully, we can go one better today.
