Trainer’s Thoughts – Ramon Di Loria at Carlisle
We’re back at Carlisle this evening with Ramon Di Loria, who goes in the 5:45 with Rowan Scott taking the ride. He ran a very solid race last week to finish second, and it was encouraging to see him travel and stick on the way he did. Jason, who rode him that day, felt he could perhaps do with a little something extra to help him finish off his races, as he’s starting to get a bit wise with age.
This is another competitive race for the grade, but Ramon remains in good heart at home. The ground has come up a bit on the soft side, which shouldn’t be a problem for him, and with conditions to suit we’d like to think he can be involved again.
Ideally, we’d like to see him run another consistent race and be in the mix for a place at the very least, but if everything falls right, we’d love to see him go one better and really challenge at the finish.
Good luck to all connections – let’s hope for another bold showing.
