Hamilton Runners – A Competitive Day Ahead
Today, we have three runners at Hamilton, and we’re excited to see how they perform. It’s shaping up to be an interesting day of racing, with each of our horses coming in with their own unique chances.
Ebony Maw – 3:12 PM Hamilton
Ebony Maw is up first in the 3:12 race with Rowan Scott onboard, racing for owners B Jordan, Brian Jordan, S Jordan, and N McConnell. He’s running in a competitive Band 0-80 handicap race with a rating of 62. Although the ground could be a little softer to suit him better, Ebony Maw is in good shape following his race at Carlisle, where he came out of the race well.
This is a competitive field, but we believe Ebony Maw can be in the mix if he’s at his best. A top-three finish is definitely within reach if he performs to his potential. We’re hopeful that with the right conditions and a good run, he could sneak into at least a place today.
Ramon Di Loria – 4:43 PM Hamilton
Next up is Ramon Di Loria, running at 4:43 PM under jockey P J McDonald. After his impressive victory in April, we’ve seen a few disappointing runs in May. However, we’re optimistic about his chances today, as he’s shown good form in the past at Hamilton, despite not yet getting a win in 12 attempts here.
Like many of our horses, Ramon would appreciate a bit more give in the ground, but he’s ready to take his chance today. His price has drifted a bit in the market, with the favourites attracting most of the attention, but we’re hopeful that under the strong hands of P J McDonald, he can turn things around. With a big field expected, a faster pace could play into his hands, and if we get Ramon back to his best, we’re confident that a place finish is certainly achievable.
Millbuie – 5:17 PM Hamilton
Finally, we have Millbuie running at 5:17 PM with Rowan Scott once again aboard for owners N J Dalgarno and W R Ellis. Millbuie has had a bit of a challenging time in the past, as he was a fairly weak horse last year. He’s shown potential at home, but translating that form onto the track has been a bit of a struggle.
After a needed run at Newcastle to blow the cobwebs away, Millbuie is now ready to get back on track. This will be his second run of the year, and he’s certainly capable of improving. His previous runs at Hamilton have shown that he can perform well here, and with everything lining up for him today, we’re hoping that he’ll finally show what he’s capable of in a race.
Millbuie will have a lot to prove, but if he shows the ability we know he has at home, he could be a strong contender. We’re expecting a solid performance and are hopeful that he’ll put in a good run today.
In Summary
All three horses have an each-way chance today if they return to their best form. We’ve seen glimpses of their potential, and with the right conditions, we believe they can perform well. It’s going to be a tough day with competitive fields, but we remain optimistic.
We’ll be sure to provide a full post-race analysis tomorrow. But if any of our horses win, be sure to check back for a detailed race replay and analysis on the blog. Fingers crossed for a successful day of racing!
As always, the most important thing is that all horses come back safe and well, no matter the result. Best of luck to all our connections today.
